Each year, the Schwabinger Weihnachtsmarkt at Münchner Freiheit invites an artist from its community to create a new mulled-wine collector’s mug. These mugs are highly sought-after keepsakes – a small piece of Munich to bring home.

I’m delighted to share a little festive news: this year’s collector’s mug (“Sammeltasse”) features my design – and I feel incredibly honored.

If you’re new to the Schwabinger Weihnachtsmarkt: it’s a beloved artists’ market known for original craft, live performances, and a friendly neighborhood vibe – perfect for discovering unique gifts and supporting local creators. The market runs from November 28 to December 24, 2025. The mug will be available directly at the gastronomy stands during the market – a beautiful souvenir and a small piece of art for your kitchen.

Design-wise, the mug carries my signature: playful and character-driven – made to warm hands and spark a smile long after the season ends.

It also picks up on this year’s motto of the Schwabinger Weihnachtsmarkt: “Come together – Kunst verbindet.” The design captures the joy and variety of a colorful, cheerful gathering around the Christmas tree. The different “birds” symbolize the diversity of people and cultures who meet at the market. As a unifying element, artworks from participating stalls are woven into the scene. Inspired by classic “Wimmelbilder” (busy seek-and-find pictures), the design invites you to discover new, charming details each time you look.
