Gummy Bear

This illustration from the 19th century shows a rare specimen of an early congener of the coati: The Braymeg. Unlike today’s coatis, he wasn’t an omnivore but only lived on red gummy bears. This old ink drawing unfortunately doesn’t show the beautiful iridescent feathering and light blue colouring of the carapace.
